Interview With NO EMOTIONS ( Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine )

Update 27-02-2009 Interview By Herry SIC
Answered By Sirius - Guitars

Last several years there is a tendency in extreme genre to value bands by quantity of beats per minute. Having their own idea and vision on extreme music NoEmotions doesn’t belong to huge amount of classicist imitators and don’t assign the primary importance to tempo click speed index. Along with high-quality release, it’s undeniable fact that music propose you to dip into profound ocean of non-standard extreme-metal. If you wait from these conquerors trite riffs, hackneyed melodies and vocal patterns like flushing tank you’ll be disappointed because this music really grabs with its freshness. Atypical melodies, ragged and turning inside out riffs, hurricane drums, non-standard songs structure…… all that what is able to dispel the stench of death-metal commonness before the eyes of an experienced audience and attract new blood. NoEmotions started as Hyperion in 2002. Within next 3 years of activity band rose from local status and became a well-known and respected metal act in Ukraine. After thousand kilometers of several tours across CIS-countries (Ukraine, Belarus, Russia) now it’s time to spread pure Will on the other territories

Hello! First, so who is currently situated in the NO EMOTIONS camp?
Hails! You mean our line up? Now we are 3-piece band + session bassplayer

First time, congratulation for new Cd has be released for Now, and How have people reacted to " My Will ", and what is the band doing now? are you satisfied with Great Job with Mystic Empire, that label doing some Great Job for NO EMOTIONS ? so far concerning promotion (ads, interviews), CD packaging and so on?
To tell the truth “My Will” was released almost year ago, well, people react very well, we haven’t had any negative feedback, seems to me people really like our extreme metal invasion. Yes, we are satisfied with Mazzar/Mystic Empire though there is lots of work to be done but we are not home guys who wait blessing from the heaven. We have huge plans for this year and I hope Mazzar will help us in right way.

How would you compare " My Will " to your previous releases ? Was the final product exactly as you had in mind? What's new in this album in terms of production and composition? What feedback are you getting so far ?
Before “My Will” we recorded “Through centuries” under Hyperion name which was released by DeathGasm records. We changed the name on NoEmotions 2 years ago before”My Will” release. I was keeping in mind name “NoEmotions” many years but time has come not that day. To compare our releases you should listen to them first. I like very much “Through Centuries” though production as for me not so good as I want, who knows, probably we’ll rerecord it within next few years. As for “My Will” production of album is good, yes, musicians always try to find something which should be done in the other way but that’s reason to progress. I satisfied with music material anyway. On “TC” we played something like mix between death & black, I just refer on styles of metal to help you understand the whole picture, “My Will” really differ, more extreme and has the other approach to melodic line. Feedback also is very different ‘cause if you are new to the scene you should expect comparisons with veterans

Now that the album is out in the market, what's the next thing you have in mind? Are there major concerts to look forward to, or probably, a follow-up release? It seems like the debut new CD “My Will ” on 2008 has been received rather well. What was the best review you’ve had and which one was the worst?
I suppose we’ll have few tours in near future, we did 2 tours supporting our release in Belarus & Russia, so we have plans as for our native country, Russia as well as eastern Europe. I think the best reviews were on metal-archives and the worst… I don’t remember… it was like music is good but lyrics are so simple… something like that

Why This album has only been released in Russia, whats Band has Find Label/Distribution For now to internationally Release " My will " Cd ??
“Cause ex-USSR countries, I mean Ukraine, Russia, Belarus etc are the big markets for us, we live there and have our fanbase. Sure we don’t limit ourselves trying to spread our music worldwide. We received few mails from such companies like Metal Blade, Century Media, it was like “you have very good stuff but today we have to concentrate on other type of music”. I can understand their position, probably they fear our origin etc. but we’ll strive anyway to get good deal. I suppose if you play in extreme metal band you should work hard and take care about management too.

How did the recording process go? Did anything unusual and/or spectacular happen? You tired yet of the comments about the drums’ placement in the final mix? Did you have the final call on the final mix?
Now, looking back on april 2006 I should say that it was even stress for us, I suppose when you are hurry it’s not always good for recording process, I mean we knew what we have to record but we didn’t aware how we should it record. That’s why I remember amps changing, vocals recording problems etc. But anyway we did good job, we have good album with good sound and I hope that the next album will be recorded better. Today there is a lot of shitty sound, triggers, guitars reamping… it’s not natural, it’s just tricks for young kids. I prefer natural sound, I should mention Terrorizer “World Downfall”, Kataklysm “Temple…”, Dying Fetus “Destroy the Oposition”, these are good example of albums which you want to listen more and more, feeling it’s live atmosphere, enjoying the drummer playing. So we work on our skills and I think we’ll use that approach to record our next album. And don’t tell me that drummer needs to use triggers when he plays over 240 bpm. First you have to play clearly and should have good sound, balanced sound. When I listen to that blast I usually can hear only the bass drums and cymbal, and usually blastbeat is played by two feets… So guys, you should take triggers only on the road if you are good drummers.

Also, do you guys write more song material than you eventually use on the albums/Demos or do you only write a certain number of songs and refine them until you’re all satisfied with them? Furthermore, since you tour so much: does most of the song writing happen on the road or do you guys really jump into the rehearsal room and jam?
I always come with ideas in rehearsing room, usually I have vision on drums parts which suit for riffs I wrote. I like improvisation and sometimes you can catch really good ideas. I try to write brilliant songs which really satisfy me, sometimes you need 2 days to complete the songs in general way, sometimes you collect riffs for years. I remember story of title song, I composed few riffs and didn’t know how the theme will develop. We played 2 first riffs and then just stopped. Suddenly Max touch the china and I got idea and we immediately composed half of the song. And again… what will be the continuation? I have been thinking about it probably half of the year. I can get the idea anytime and anywhere, I can write the riffs in my head and then just take guitar and play it.

Often musicians have their pet songs or own fave tunes on their albums. What song(s) on “My Will” are your favorite tracks?
I like the whole album that’s why I think it’s question to our fans.

With a decade of existence, how do you see NO EMOTIONS in the years to come? Would there be any possibility of a genre shift? Please tell us more of your future plans.
Decade? No men, we are not so old, heh . To tell the truth I don’t keep in mind our age, I only think about progress and I will do everything to play more tours, to record music which I want to record. NoEmotions is not orthodox death-metal band, we play extreme music first, we like that kind of music. But I compose my own songs based on my imagination and willing to create. So, you should expect from us extreme metal but in our unique way. Future plans… touring, touring, touring, composing, recording, touring, touring, touring, composing, recording…

How long do you think you guys can keep this intensive touring up? It’s interesting that so many of the old metal bands are still touring frequently and often headlining festivals while they obviously can’t match their old quality level. The only exception seems to be Iron Maiden but bands like Metallica, Judas Priest (Rob needs to stop trying to sing!), Slayer are way past their prime yet still draw huge crowds. What I’m aiming at here is how long do you think NO EMOTIONS can keep playing and releasing albums without becoming a parody of some kind?
Time will tell, as longer as we can. Music is passion. We didn’t tour so much that’s why aim to tour more and more to live from music.

All this time, you've been touring and sharing the stage with several great bands, too. Which bands did you like best touring with? Which of all your tours is the most unforgettable? Could you share to us some of your best and worst touring experiences?
Basically we toured with bands that have professional attitude, all tours were pleasant things for me personally. If you are going on tour you just need to rid of shi off your head and think about upcoming gigs and your fans.

Which of all your albums is your favorite, and if any, which one do you like least? Could you also name at least five of your favorite albums of all time?
You mean favorite bands albums? To tell the truth it’s too complex to name only 5. Ok, let’s speak about old bands:

Metallica 84-86
Megadeth 86-88
Slayer 86-90
Kreator 89
Sepultura 91

How are Death metal Movement on Ukraine scene for Now ?? keepin killer with have more horrify band there ?? How about High recommend for new comer band from Ukraine scene to day and future ??
We have a few good bands there but I’m not o much in native scene, I like Mental Demise promo 2003 but their “Disgrasefull…” is really shit. Also almost 10 years ago there was Inner Cell band, I like their “Meditation and pain” album but it’s not actually pure death-metal, something like Pantera, Meshuggah and own ideas.

Of the emerging bands today playing similar craft as NO EMOTIONS, which ones do you like best and who would be your top pick to do a cover of one of your songs? Which bands do you think will make it big one of these days? Would you like to share any advice to them?
You know, we just guys who like extreme stuff, we play music we want, we are not veterans, especially when it comes with cover on our songs. If someone like our songs, if someone would like to do cover on “My Will” songs just they would do it.

Well, this Fuckin interviews can be very nice too and on that note I’ll conclude this one. Thanks for doing this little digital tea chat Mail and let’s hope our webzine will still be around for whatever next band release you’ll be on haha. keep existing for extreme metal flames forever !!
Thank you for the interest, will work hard to conquer!!! See ya later!

Update 22-02-2009 Interview By Herry SIC

Answered By Padde Holmgren ( Drums )

Fleshcut started out in the summer of 2006 as a Grindcore/Goregrind band called The Grabbar by Pate (vocals), Padde (drums) and Fyran (guitar), but quickly decided to play old school oriented Death Metal instead. They changed the whole thing and re-named to Massive Killing Capacity (after Dismember's 1995 full-lenght). But then Pate came up with Fleshcut and they liked it so they kept it. One random drinking night Fyran decided to leave the band because he and Pate started to bitch, about 10 minutes later Pate and Padde had a new guitarist in the form of André Nilsson. They got more serious with the whole project and decided that they should start writing songs and rehearse, but they needed another guitarist and that became the drunken fucker Slurge. Now they where a full band (at that point) and had started to rehearse, but soon they figured out that a bass player would be interesting so they asked Fyran and he tried for like two times, then a guy named Roy tried but he just quit the band out of the blue so that was no good (he's very talanted though.. just to suck his balls). And then and at last they tried Jarlau Wiahl and three rehearsals later he was a full time member. In October 2007 they recorded a 6 song EP called "Machine Driven Crushing" in Malmö, Sweden (from where the band origin). They signed a deal and released it on Goregeous Productions. The EP is almost out of print and has got very good credit (some shitty credit too, but fuck that..). All 6 songs from the EP is uploaded on Myspace if you don't have the record. Martin Schönherr (the last voice of Deranged - R.I.P!!!) did guest back up vocals on the title track. Fleshcut has played live with local partners in crime such as Splattered Mermaids, Carnalist, Thyzzo among others and with bigger acts such as Serial Butcher, Origin Blood and they opened the Armageddon Open Air festival in Kristianstad, Sweden 2007 which also featured bands like Entombed (one of Fleshcut's biggest influences), Insision, Visceral Bleeding, My Own Grave, Altair, Body Core and others. They're in the studio right now recording the upcoming full-lenght GRUESOME AND VILE which will be released on Goregeous Productions in March 2009!!! It's 8 brand new songs, 2 remakes from Machine Driven Crushing on a Pro-CD! The songs have more variation, are more brutal and slightly more techincal than the Machine Driven Crushing EP. The old school influences still lurks, and the lyrics are heavily influenced by zombie slashers and the great antics of Saw. Keep checking the blog for studio updates and shit!

Hello! First, so who is currently situated in the FLESHCUT camp?
Pate Lundberg - Vocals
André Nilsson - Guitar
Slurge - Guitar
Padde Holmgren - Drums
Jarlau Wiahl - Bass

Now still “Machine Driven Crushing “ the album is out in the market, what's the next thing you have in mind? Are there major concerts to look forward to, or probably, a follow-up release? It seems like the debut Ep “Machine Driven Crushing” on 2007 has been received rather well. What was the best review you’ve had and which one was the worst?
Machine Driven Crushing is almost sold-out, which is great and we have no plans to re-print it! We've just finnished recording our upcoming full-lenght entitled "Gruesome And Vile" that will be released on Goregeous Productions in April 2009. Sadly we haven't got alot of reviews, we had a good one that can be read on misantropia. se. That review is just one of very few, and strangely no review has been bad. As soon as our new record is out we'll be looking for gigs!

How with Another Much Person say, Fleshcut is The Really Swedish Death Metal Entombed and Dismember Cloning ?? I still remind some little story Fleshcut about Fleshcut played their third gig on the same festival as their main inspiration Entombed, at Armageddon Open Air in the late summer of 2007. can give describe??
Our biggest influences are bands such as Entombed, Dismember, Cannibal Corpse, Fleshcrawl and so on. I wouldn't call Fleshcut pure old school Swedish death metal, I perfer to call it death metal with big swedish old school influences. But there are US and brutal influences as well. Armageddon was a blast, our gig sucked because we got the shittiest time ever. We opened the festival 12 o'clock in the day and people didn't show up at the festival until 5 hours later, so alot of bands had to play with a small crowd watching. It was cool as fuck to be on the same bill as Entombed since they are a huge influence. We ran into them after their gig (they where one of the last bands) and they where cool as fuck!

in spite of these line-up jumbles, the great music of the band is scarcely affected. How is this made possible? Was there any instance that maybe one of you did not approve of the turn-out of a release?
We've been the same line-up since we started rehearsing more or less, the old members was just there when we started the band. We weren't really a band until January 2007 when we started rehearsing, and we've had this line-up ever since. With the exception for a bassist change, but that was in the beginning and we only had like 3 songs so it doesn't count haha!

How did the recording process go? Did anything unusual and/or spectacular happen? You tired yet of the comments about the drums’ placement in the final mix? Did you have the final call on the final mix?
The recording process were kind of standard I guess, we aren't too happy with the turn-out but we where so eager to put the record out there so we didn't really give a shit if the final mix wasn't what we had hoped. Still proud of the songs though..
The final mix of the upcoming release is cool as fuck, we're very happy about it!

Also, do you guys write more song material than you eventually use on the albums or do you only write a certain number of songs and refine them until you’re all satisfied with them? Furthermore, since you tour so much: does most of the song writing happen on the road or do you guys really jump into the rehearsal room and jam?
We usually write a certain amount and we keep playing them to make them better with everytime we play them. Tour so much?? We don't tour so much, that must be a misunderstanding. We've done alot of gigs but we've never toured. All our song writing is done in the rehearsal room. It's mostly me and André, he has a riff or I have an idéa and so on. Then we make something out of it and the rest of the guys approve or disapprove. Andrés stuff is more old school and thrashy, while my stuff is more US and brutal. The other guys has stuff too, but it's mostly me and André.

" Machine Driven Crushing" is Mostly Swedish Death Metal Release, How working this Material. are you satisty for This ending?
Yes it's a mixture of old school death metal and brutal death metal with old school thrash influences, and that's our intention so we're satisfied.

Often musicians have their pet songs or own fave tunes on their albums. What song(s) on “Machine Driven Crushing ” are your favorite tracks?
My personal fave off the EP is the title track, but all in all I think our favourite song to play live is Disfigured By Chainsaw. We've done a re-make of that song for our upcoming release, the new one is more brutal and in your face!

With a decade of existence, how do you see FLESHCUT in the years to come? Would there be any possibility of a genre shift? Please tell us more of your future plans.
Our future plans is to remain the same, fast and gruesome death metal with gory lyrics with an old school root. We will never change. We might be better musicians and song writers eventually haha, but the music and genre will remain the same.

What I’m aiming at here is how long do you think FLESHCUT can keep playing and releasing albums without becoming a parody of some kind?
As said earlier, we've only been existing since 2006 and we haven't really toured. But we will continue as long as we can, there are no intentions to put this band on ice. We're releasing our first full-lenght now and I hope people will snap it up and give us gigs!!! It's kind of hard to get gigs since money is almost always involved, and we don't have alot of cash in this band!

Which of all your albums is your favorite, and if any, which one do you like least? Could you also name at least five of your favorite albums of all time?
We only have 2 releases (one of them will be released in April 2009) and the latest is our favorite, so that makes the EP our least.

How are Death metal Movement on Malmö, Skåne län Sweden scene for Now ??? How about High recommend for new comer band from Malmö, Skåne län Sweden scene to day and future ??
It's kind of good, there are a couple of bands. I can recommend friends ouf ours like Splattered Mermaids, Carnalist, Havok just to name a few. The crowd in Malmö is lame! Lazy and cheap, sadly... I consider Fleshcut a new comer band still. Most gigs in Malmö or Skåne is arranged by bands or independent people because the scene isn't that big. There are some metal clubs here, but it's only traditional heavy metal or sleaze bands that play there.

Of the emerging bands today playing similar craft as FLESHCUT, which ones do you like best and who would be your top pick to do a cover of one of your songs? Which bands do you think will make it big one of these days? Would you like to share any advice to them?
We're a small band so I don't consider us to be in the position to give advices, we need advices ourselves haha! We're planning some Entombed covers, there are alot of covers I would like to do off bands such as Cannibal Corpse, Fleshgrind, Malevolent Creation and such.. but I might be the only one in the band to be wanting that since the others aren't into those bands enough to do a cover. Me and Pate are the only ones in the band that listens to the really brutal stuff, there are alot of goregrind bands I would like to cover songs off but I can just dream of that haha. I have to do the goregrind stuff with my goregrind band DPOS!!! (myspace. com/forevervomitonyourshit) check it out, I do the vocals!

Well, this Fuckin interviews can be very nice too and on that note I’ll conclude this one. Thanks for doing this little digital tea chat Mail and let’s hope our webzine will still be around for whatever next band release you’ll be on haha. keep existing for extreme metal flames forever !!
Thank you, this is the first "real" interview for Fleshcut so this was fun as fuck really! KEEP SUPPORTING DEATH METAL AND STAY BRUTAL!!!

Interview With SUPREME PAIN ( Netherlands )

Interview With SUPREME PAIN ( Netherlands )

Interview With SUPREME PAIN ( Netherlands )
Update 14-02-2009 Interview By Herry SIC

Answered By Erwin Harreman - Guitar

SUPREME PAIN started in summer 2006 when Erwin, Aad (vocalist of Sinister and Infinited Hate) and Robi (from Slovenian deathmetallers Scaffold) joined forces to create death metal with the sick fast blasting brutality of today combined with the old school feeling. After a couple of rehearsals Supreme Pain decided to record a promo CD titled LIFELESS SKIN AND BONES. This promo was recorded and released in december 2006. This resulted in a deal with U.S. Comatose Music owned by Steve Green (Lust Of Decay and Atrocious Abnormality). Supreme Pain started to work on songs for the full lenght CD entitled CADAVER PLEASURES. During this Supreme Pain was joined by guitarist Bas Brussaard(Fondlecorpse). It was the intension that he would only play a couple of solo's but it worked out so great that he became permanent member of the Supreme Pain family. The drums were recorded in Negligence Sound Studios in Slovenia and all guitars and vocals were recorded at the Garden Shed Of Horror Studio in The Netherlands. Mixing took place at Excess Studios in The Netherlands and the mastering was done at Sound Lab Studios in U.S. The result is crushing and mindblowing!!!! This death metal piece of brutality was released on 15th of april 2008. Pure brutal death metal sickness is unleashed. A few months after the release drummer Robert Kovacic was replaced by Toep Duin (Putrefied, Blastcorps and many more). Robi did not commit himself to the supreme brutality so replacement was the only option. And Tadej Cholewa (Scaffold) became the bassplayer. Recently Supreme Pain signed a contract with Metal Age Productions from Slovakia to release the second full lenght CD. Currently Supreme Pain is writing new music for the upcoming release wich will have the title NEMESIS ENFORCER. Expect brutal sick blasting death metal !!! So Supreme Pain is back on full strenght and ready to create blasting death metal sickness !!!! Ready to play live gigs and spread the supreme death metal hell !!! DESECRATE THE FLESH BEFORE MY EYES !!! CADAVER PLEASURES - SAVAGE DESIRE !!!

Hello! First, so who is currently situated in the SUPREME PAIN camp?
Hello! Well this is the current and best line-up: Aad Kloosterwaard - Vocals. Erwin Harreman - Guitar. Bas Brussaard - Guitar. Tadej Cholewa - Bass. Toep Duin - Drums.

First time, congratulation for new Cd has be released for Now, and How have people reacted to " Cadaver Pleasures ", and what is the band doing now? are you satisfied with Great Job with North Carolina label Comatose Music ( Hello Steve !! .Ed ), that label doing some Great Job for SUPREME PAIN ? so far concerning promotion (ads, interviews), CD packaging and so on?
Thanx. The reactions on Cadaver Pleasures are very good, we had some cool reviews on it. And Steve from Comatose Music did a very good job with packaging and promotion for Supreme Pain. He also arranged some cool t-shirts aswell. We just finished the recordings and from now on we will practise the live set.

How would you compare " Cadaver Pleasures " to your previous releases, Like " Lifeless Skin and Bones ' Demo 2007 ? Was the final product exactly as you had in mind? What's new in this album in terms of production and composition? What feedback are you getting so far
Cadaver Pleasures is a step forward for Supreme Pain. And it turned out very good. Good production and we all like the songs how they turned out.

Now that the album is out in the market, what's the next thing you have in mind? Are there major concerts to look forward to, or probably, a follow-up release? It seems like the debut new CD “Cadaver Pleasures ” on 2008 has been received rather well. What was the best review you’ve had and which one was the worst?
We just finished the recordings of our second release Nemesis Enforcer. And we will try to play as many live gigs as possible. Cadaver Pleasures was received very well and to be honoust i didn't read any worse review, so that's cool hehe

Tell Me for some Little New Material Cd " Nemesis Enforcer " are start will be recordings soon ... how compare material SUPREME PAIN now with " Cadaver Pleasures "
For the recordings we went to Soundlodge Studio from producer Joerg Uken who also worked with bands as Sinister, God Dethroned, Dew-Scented etc. And this album is a step forward for Supreme Pain. On Cadaver Pleasures i wrote all the music. Lead guitarist Bas Brussaard joined the band after all the songs were finished so he added his solo's and a few harmonies. On the new cd we both were writing the songs and made the arrangements together. So Bas contributed more. And we have 2 new members who also contributed their style in the new songs. Tadej Cholewa our bassplayer made some cool basslines and drummer Toep Duin created some grazy rythems. So in the end the new material is better in balance. But still it is brutal fast and sick with the old school groove !!! I think people will be suprised by the result. It is all more mature. Better songs and better sound/production.

Second Full lenght " Nemesis Enforcer " Cover Artwork For Coming soon !!!
Released By Metal Age Productions 2009

SUPREME PAIN has gone through a couple of changes in Drummer, and for this album, the " Lifeless Skin and Bones ' Demo 2007 " line-up is restored. Will this line-up last this time? Are Robert Kovacic ex-members planning to rejoin the band someday, or is there any current member who might resign again?
Well we only had one change in drummer. And Robert will never be part of Supreme Pain again. He said he didn't had time anymore so we repleaced him with Toep Duin and Toep is a great drummer and person. And with Toep in our ranks Supreme Pain made a step forward. We now have a good line-up: Aad Kloosterwaard-Vocals. Erwin Harreman-Guitar. Bas Brussaard-Guitar. Tadej Cholewa-Bass. Toep Duin-Drums. So with this line-up we will continue Supreme Pain death metal sickness !!!

But in spite of these line-up jumbles, the great music of the band is scarcely affected. How is this made possible? Was there any instance that maybe one of you did not approve of the turn-out of a release? Especially Featured Aad Kloosterwaard ( Man Of Behind The Veteran Netherlands Death Metal SINISTER )
Aad and I are friends for about 20 years. And we just came up with the idea to create a death metal band, different then Sinister so we just started. Aad is a experienced guy and also great vocalist. I wrote all the music for the first release and we got in contact with Steve from Comatose Music and he offered us a deal to release our debut cd Cadaver Pleasures.

How did the recording process go? Did anything unusual and/or spectacular happen? You tired yet of the comments about the drums’ placement in the final mix? Did you have the final call on the final mix?
The recordings of Cadaver Pleasures went good. Robert recorded his drums in his country Slovenia then all drumtracks were sended to me and we recorded all guitars, bass and vocals at The Garden Shed of Horrors were also Fondlecorpse records. After that we mixed all the songs at Excess Studios. And we are all very pleased with the result. And i found the drums placement good in the mix. It's a part of the music it hink all instrumets are well balanced on Cadaver Pleasures. Off course it can always be better but it all depends on time and budget. The new cd Nemesis Enforcer will sound better because we had more time and budget and a better studio and producer.

Also, do you guys write more song material than you eventually use on the albums/Demos or do you only write a certain number of songs and refine them until you’re all satisfied with them? Furthermore, since you tour so much: does most of the song writing happen on the road or do you guys really jump into the rehearsal room and jam?
Well Bas and I JUST write alot of riffs and then later we pick out the best parts and from that weare going to write the songs and arrangements. We use a drumcomputer to make some basic drumpatterns. We record it at home and send it to te other members for feedback. If we have a couple of songs completed we going to rehearse them with drummer Toep and he will add his drumparts and majbe few changes. When the song is complete i write the lyrics and Aad will create his vocals. We don't jam in the rehearsal room most of the songs are completed only some changes in rythems.

" Cadaver Pleasures " is Mostly Release, How working this Material with not same Place, I see Drums Recorded at Negligence Studio in Slovenia , Guitars, Bass & Vocals The Garden Shed of Horror Studio in The Netherlands, Mixed at Excess Studio in The Netherlands, and Mastered at Sound Lab Studios, Columbia South Carolina USA by: Rob Moore, are the band has get The Great Result For It ?? are enjoy Working with Rob Moore ?
The way Cadaver Pleasures is recorded was the easiest way at that moment. Robert lives in Slovenia so it was the easiest to record the drums there. Other recordings and mixing in Netherlands. And Mastering in Sound Lab because Steve could arange that with Bob Moore. We sended the mixed songs to Bob and he mastered them and the result was great.

Often musicians have their pet songs or own fave tunes on their albums. What song(s) on “Cadaver Pleasures” are your favorite tracks?
Well i like them all !!! But Blood Of The Chosen. Drowned In Hate. and Visions Of Tyranny turned out as great songs.

With a decade of existence, how do you see SUPREME PAIN in the years to come? Would there be any possibility of a genre shift? Please tell us more of your future plans.
Supreme Pain will always be a brutal death metal band we will never have a genre shift as i like playing death metal. Our future plans is keep writing and recording new music. Getting better with every release and try to play live gigs as much as possible and on as many places/countries as possible !!!

What I’m aiming at here is how long do you think SUPREME PAIN can keep playing and releasing albums without becoming a parody of some kind?
Well we don't tour alot. We all have regular jobs and also family live with kids so long tours is hard to combine. So for us making music is not our daily job we just make the music we like most and we are not pushed by managers and labels. So therefore i think we can do this for a very long time without becoming a parody. We will be a death metal band and we will always try to get better every time. And i think there is alot of progress to come in then future of Supreme Pain.

Which of all your albums is your favorite, and if any, which one do you like least? Could you also name at least five of your favorite albums of all time?
Well i think the new album Nemesis Enforcer has some of the best songs Supreme Pain made so far. My top 5 mmmm let me see i will tell you the bands i am inluenced the most they all recorded several great songs and albums: Suffocation - Dying Fetus - Zyklon - Bloodbath - Krisiun - Hate Eternal well just a few i listen to so many bands and all the time new bands come around.

How are Death metal Movement on Netherlands scene for Now ?? How are About Popular Band like Infinited Hate, Blastcorps, Houwitser, Thanatos, Ceremony, Scaffold, Putrefied, Unlord, Cardinal, Consolation, and FondleCorpse ?? keepin killer with have more horrify band there ?? How about High recommend for new comer band from Netherlands scene to day and future ??
There are alot of new bands and also some old bands reunited. Also some old bands will never return. So i think the scene is pretty ok. Also the guys from FondleCorpse are great i played the rythem guitar on their new album, Creaturegore. And of course the veterans of Sinister are great guys to hang out with. New comer to the scene is Weapons To Hunt is a new band with members of Infinited Hate. I think this will turn out very good. I heard some demo tracks and it sounds very cool.

Of the emerging bands today playing similar craft as SUPREME PAIN, which ones do you like best and who would be your top pick to do a cover of one of your songs? Which bands do you think will make it big one of these days? Would you like to share any advice to them?
Well to be honoust i have no idea. Nothing can change so fast as the music industry including underground death metal. For example Prostitute Disfigurement was a very promising band but now the stopped...so it can change fast. And no idea if there will be a band do a cover or one of our songs, would be cool but i have no idea if it will happen.Short advice, always be yourself don't change your additute. I see it happening to much that people change into some assholes if they become succesful or if people tell them how great they are.

Well, this Fuckin interviews can be very nice too and on that note I’ll conclude this one. Thanks for doing this little digital tea chat Mail and let’s hope our webzine will still be around for whatever next band release you’ll be on haha. keep existing for extreme metal flames forever !!
Thanx it was my pleasure to share this digital tea party hahaha. And Supreme Pain will be there for all you crazy death metal fans around !!!! Stay Brutal and sick !!! Supreme Death Metal GreetZ !!!!

Interview With RETALIATION ( Marktheidenfeld, Bavaria, Germany )

Interview With RETALIATION ( Marktheidenfeld, Bavaria, Germany )
Update 08-02-2009 Interview By Herry SIC

Answered By Julian Welsch - Guitar / founder of RETALIATION

RETALIATION was founded in December 2005 by Julian Welsch and Sven Lutz under the name of INVALID INJECTION. After several lineup-changes the band - consisting of Julian Welsch, Stefan Lammer, Johannes Schwarzkopf, Heiko Heckner and Juergen Koehler - finally was ready to enter the stage at the beginning of 2007. One year of devastating live-performances and about 12 gigs followed and the first EP 'Enticing' was released by Rising Nemesis Rec in February 2008. After months of intense support for the debut, Stefan and Juergen decided to part ways with the band due to musical differences. The original line-up performed its last gig at Eisenwahn Open Air in July 2008. With Dennis Schneider, Christian Schlosser and Marc Schuhmann joining the horde, RETALIATON forged ahead into new dimensions by adding a new progressive sound to the crushing technical brutality they have been known for.Right now new material is being composed in order to release a new album at the beginning of 2009. Prepare for an intense experience, the time for RETALIATION has just begun!

Hello! First, so who is currently situated in the RETALIATION camp?
Hello Herry, Here..s Julian, guitarist and founder of RETALIATION... At First, thank you for the possibility to give this interview! We..re destroying the stages with our new Line-Up since August 2008. Our former guitarist and drummer were replaced and our guest-singer Christian joined us permanently

First time, congratulation for new Mini Cd has be released for Now, and How have people reacted to " Enticing ", and what is the band doing now? are you satisfied with Great Job with your label Rising Nemesis, that label doing some Great Job for RETALIATION ?
Well, ENTICING received great reviews in the local scene. The reactions were proper fantastic! On the European market we got really good feedback, too, what quite of amazed me. However, the collaberation with Rising Nemesis Rec. didn..t went well, so that we decided to part ways with them in January 2009. Since then we..re searching for a new label.

I Know before band use name RETALIATION, i just Hear a name INVALID INJECTION for Release Ep " Enticing ", How about this ?? what First name INVALID INJECTION or RETALIATION for Release Ep " Enticing " ??
When we were found in 2005, our name was INVALID INJECTION, indeed. But a few month after the founding we changed our name into RETALIATION. Because our first release ENTICING got released in February 2008, this does not have anything to do with the old band..s name.

It seems like the debut new Mini CD “ Enticing ” on 2008 has been received rather well. What was the best review you’ve had and which one was the worst?
Hard to say. It always depends on the scene and its viewers. In the Brutal Death Metal scene, we had only little chances with the EP, of course, whereas the CD was received very well in the Melodic Death Thrash and Black Metal scene. I must say I can..t really remember any special reviews.

" Enticing " is RETALIATION most dramatic and dynamically aggressive Brutal Deathmetal with a lot melodic Riff part element inside release thus far, concentrating heavily on creating memorable hooks within a very song-orientated framework. Can you tell me how you approached the song writing this time around and how this process different from your previous Music concept ?
The songwriting process of ENTICING and our new stuff is very different. I composed almost every song and wrote almost all lyrics for the EP myself. Meanwhile the songs are written a lot more structural and more dynamic. Although I write the songs primarliy alone at home on my computer, but once I finished the first few writing steps me and our lead-guitarist Dennis get ready to do some editing. Then the song mostly gets disassembled completely, structures get changed, passages get created, some soli and leads are built in and everything gets combined to a concept that is halfway compatible to the masses.

How much of a part do classical composers play in terms of influencing the way you create your music? This Some modern age brutal, technical and progressive Death Metal ??
I..m purchasing my influences from evereywhere. They range from classic music to black metal, progressive metal, death metal and jazz. There are no special bands or composers which have to be mentioned as influences for RETALIATION. With our next release you will easily perceive that every song is different and you will not discover a leitmotif as clearly as on ENTICING.

Basing the lyrical concept of this album around the perverse yet Living Struggle, Anti-Nazism, Religion and Dark evil related to the acceptance of Gore saints, symbols and Sarcastic words into the Dark theme is something RETALIATION have explored on and off on the Cover album " Enticing ". From what angle have you approached this subject on "Enticing "?
ENTICING does not really have a lyrical concept. Every song stands alone. None of the lyrics is about the scene-usual gore theme. But the quintessence of this EP is to think about yourself and our world, one..s life and also one..s future. The frontcover was a spontanous idea and can only be limited connected with a lyrical concept or the band..s name. We wanted to have a cover that sticks out from the usual ones and I think we succeeded that very well!

Production-wise "Enticing " is undoubtedly the most brutal-sounding RETALIATION please to date yet still manages to harness a clarity that enables all the twin leads and intricacies to shine through in all their Raw Intense . What were your initial ideas of how you wanted this album to sound before you went into the studio ?
To be honest I did not think about the sound before the recording at all. Even if it doesn..t seem that way, ENTICING was kind of a spontanous action. I composed and recorded it in 5 weeks. We entrusted Andreas Hoffmann ( http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fus...endID=374179556 ) with the sound who I knew for a long time.

Did anything unusual and/or spectacular happen when during Records? You tired yet of the comments about the drums’ and Guitar Duties placement in the final mix? Did you have the final call on the final mix?
It didn..t happen anything worth to be mentioned during the recordings. But now I would do many things in a different way, that..s for sure. Our next release will be a big step forward in terms of sound quality, songwriting and innovation.

All this time, you've been touring and sharing the stage with several great bands, too. Which bands did you like best touring with? Which of all your tours is the most unforgettable? Could you share to us some of your best and worst touring experiences?
I can remember a gig with ENDSTILLE in January 2008 very well! This gig was one of the best we..ve ever had. The fans of ENDSTILLE didn..t decline us at all what we really have not expected. In spite of the musical differences and our opening slot they gave us a lot of support.

What would be the ultimate Melodic death metal package be for you to either be part of or to attend? The billing can have up to 10 bands :-)
For fuck..s sake, how should I answer this without showing evidently that rather none of us really listens to Melodic Death Metal?! haha Someone of the readers should answer this question!
I would say…
01. Decrepit Birth
02. Severed Savior
03. Human Mincer
04. Hour of Penance
05. Robie Williams
06. No Angels
07. Bro'Sis
08. Backstreet Boys
09. Tokio Hotel
10. Madonna
And for sure some german hip hop acts. haha

How are Death metal Movement on Marktheidenfeld, Bavaria, Germany ?? keepin killer with have more horrify band there ?? How about High recommend for new comer band from this scene ??
It..s not happening that much in our area. Indeed, there are a few Death Metal bands which exist since many years but most of them did not achieve anything yet. Especially in rural districts I..m missing innovative bands very much. The long-established bands always get the same support from the same audience. But to to mention some exceptions I would recommend especially Provocation (Brutal Death, signed with Mutilated Rec.) Fuck Your Shadow from Behind (Deathcore), Beliars Entity (Post Deathcore), Clitsplit (Porngrind) and Iterate (brutal Death/Thrash with our singer Johannes as drummer)

Any Future next Plan soon RETALIATION ?? How about new album at the beginning of 2009 ??
Unfortunately the recording of our album has delayed. We didn..t manage it in December 2008. We plan to record the drums for the new cd soon and the guitars, bass and vocals in Dennis..Fotzenstudios

Thanks a ton, guys! Last question, and this one is a doozy. What are your views on stem cell research, human cloning, and the "organic computers" that are sure to result from combining "flesh" with "technology"? Flying cars are quickly becoming a reality as well, what do you think of them?
These are all things that seem to be inevitably and that will change our lifes essentially. Innovation and technic development don..t have exclusively positive consequences. We don..t want to take a firm stand to this. This would be stuff for many pages, if not for books, not for small interviews. But I want to say: We..re all humans we should think about and question everything in our world.

Well, this Fuckin interviews can be very nice too and on that note I’ll conclude this one. Thanks for doing this little digital tea chat Mail and let’s hope our webzine will still be around for whatever next band release you’ll be on haha. keep existing for extreme metal flames forever !!
Thank you very much for this interview Herry. We will keep you informed considering our next output. To all the fans outside there: altercate with music in general instead of focusing only on one special genre and open your mind for musical innovation! We..re looking forward to see all you guys in front of the stage and have a blast together. Prepare for Retaliation!

Interview With INFERI ( Nashville, Tennessee, Usa )

Interview With INFERI ( Nashville, Tennessee, Usa )

Update 02-02-2009 Interview By Herry SIC
Answered By Eric W. Brown - Drums

Hello! First, so who is currently situated in the INFERI camp?
We started as a four-piece, but last year decided we would be even more bad ass if we got a bass player who could shred, and we regret nothing. The lineup is, and will always be: Malcolm (guitar), Chris (guitar), Josh (vocals), Nevin (bass) and Eric (drums).

First time, congratulation for new Cd has be released for Now, and How have people reacted to " The End of an Era ", and what is the band doing now? are you satisfied with Great Independent Release? Why Choosing It ? I Know Much Label Outhere For Release Great Stuff Like " The End of an Era ". How To manage some concerning promotion (ads, interviews, Gigz, ), CD packaging and so on? Are Inferi Busy with it ??
Well, due to personal commitments we've been forced into a hiatus for an unknown period of time. We decided to self-release it because it didn't work out with the label we signed to, and rather than dealing with several more months of bullshit we wanted people to have it, so we pressed copies ourselves and mailed them to anyone who wanted one. HOWEVER, recent news of a DIY label has surfaced, so we quickly retracted from making them ourselves because this new label wants to release it... so that should hit stores in a few months.

How would you compare " The End of an Era " to your previous releases, Like " Divinity in War " 2007 ? Was the final product exactly as you had in mind? What's new in this album in terms of production and composition? What feedback are you getting so far?
Everything about it is better than the first- songwriting, speed, solos, production; but it's far from perfect. We liked the mixes we had initially, but the label didn't, so we had it re-mixed with a different guy, and there are things that are both better and worse about these second mixes. It's hard to judge with your own ear what people are hearing when they listen to it, but so far nobody has had anything bad to say about it- even though we can pinpoint every singly mistake made and everything that should have been done a different way.

Now that the album is out in the market, what's the next thing you have in mind? Are there major concerts to look forward to, or probably, a follow-up release? It seems like the debut new CD “The End of an Era ” on 2009 has been received rather well. What was the best review you’ve had and which one was the worst?
We don't really pay attention to things like that, one person's opinion was "best progressive death metal record of 2009," which is pretty flattering of course.

in spite of these line-up jumbles, the great music of the band is scarcely affected. How is this made possible? Was there any instance that maybe one of you did not approve of the turn-out of a release?
We are all in it to win it, the only line-up change we had was the addition of a bass player but nothing but far superior things musically have happened since his introduction into the band.

How did the recording process go? Did anything unusual and/or spectacular happen? You tired yet of the comments about the drums’ placement in the final mix? Did you have the final call on the final mix?
It started well and ended disastrously. I personally don't like the way it sounds at this point, but it's close enough to not want to have to deal with it any more. It took way too fucking long and lots of money we didn't have.

Also, do you guys write more song material than you eventually use on the albums or do you only write a certain number of songs and refine them until you’re all satisfied with them? Furthermore, since you tour so much: does most of the song writing happen on the road or do you guys really jump into the rehearsal room and jam?
We don't really tour that much. Malcolm writes most of the material, and at any given time he has about 20 or 30 riffs, and once we think a song is done it's actually time for an overhaul. Writing typically takes place in front of the computer with a drum sequencer, and then brought to practice and smoothed out/changed up, etc.

" The End of an Era " is Mostly Release, How working this Material , I see Recorded by Andrija Tokic at The Bomb Shelter in Nashville, TN and Mixed and mastered by Zack Ohren of Castle Ultimate in Oakland, CA, how INFERI Include Pat Henry from Swashbuckle to Guest vocals on " Cursed Unholy " and Feature Additional Solo's from Mike Low and Matt Brown (Enfold Darkness) on " The Warrior's Infinite Opus (instrumental) " ?? are they some Cool Guys ?
What?

Often musicians have their pet songs or own fave tunes on their albums. What song(s) on “The End of an Era ” are your favorite tracks?
We like all of them except the instrumental song.

With a decade of existence, how do you see INFERI in the years to come? Would there be any possibility of a genre shift? Please tell us more of your future plans.
The future is hard to judge at this point, since we were all but broken up a few months ago... but since we now have this label releasing the album, we're gonna take it one step at a time and see what happens while not really anticipating anything.

What I’m aiming at here is how long do you think INFERI can keep playing and releasing albums without becoming a parody of some kind?
We'll be doing this as long as we still enjoy what we do. Next question.

Which of all your albums is your favorite, and if any, which one do you like least? Could you also name at least five of your favorite albums of all time?
I don't think it's possible to really narrow it down like that- anything with impeccable shred, or in my case, really fast catchy synthesizers.

How are Death metal Movement on Nashville, Tennessee scene for Now ?? How are About Popular Band like Destroy Destroy Destroy ( The New Cd on 2009 " Battle Slut, Is Very Great Cool stuff !!! .ed ) , Rainbow Dragon Eyes, Diskreet, A Loathing Requiem, Ninth Day Sin ?? keepin killer with have more horrify band there ?? How about High recommend for new comer band from Nashville, Tennessee scene to day and future ??
Hm, interesting list. A Loathing Requiem is Malcolm's personal project, Rainbowdragoneyes is my own, Diskreet is from Kansas, and Ninth Day Sin I don't think has existed for quite some time. There's more stupid bullshit here than there is good stuff, so I stopped caring a long time ago.

Of the emerging bands today playing similar craft as INFERI, which ones do you like best and who would be your top pick to do a cover of one of your songs? Which bands do you think will make it big one of these days? Would you like to share any advice to them?
Best advice anyone can give is get the fuck off of myspace and practice your goddamn instrument. In the music business it's all about egos, money, and looking good- so prepare yourself for disappointment. As long as you're clearly good at what you do, really putting all of your effort into it and never half-assing anything, nobody can make fun of you.

Well, this Fuckin interviews can be very nice too and on that note I’ll conclude this one. Thanks for doing this little digital tea chat Mail and let’s hope our webzine will still be around for whatever next band release you’ll be on haha. keep existing for extreme metal flames forever !!
Hail and kill.
